Group Opportunities
Groups of two or more individuals may conduct a one-time volunteer project for either the hospital, the Memphis Grizzlies House, or Target House. All volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate in group projects and group size is limited to 10 individuals. See the items on the left navigation bar to learn more about the guidelines and requirements for sponsoring an event at St. Jude. Use the Sponsor a Special Event form in the Related Topics box to apply to sponsor an event.
Hospital Group Projects: If your group would like to conduct a volunteer project Monday through Friday, between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Please use the Provide a Special Event at the Hospital located under related topics.
Memphis Grizzlies House Group Projects: If your group would like to conduct a volunteer project Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday evening sometime between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Use the Memphis Grizzlies House and Target House Special Event Application located under related topics.
Target House Group Projects: If your group would like to conduct a volunteer project Monday through Friday, sometime between 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Use the Memphis Grizzlies House and Target House Special Event Application located under related topics.
Event Ideas: Need help in coming up with an idea for your project? Here are just a few ideas that might work. Use your creative genius -- the sky is the limit!
- Host a movie night
- Host a "Story Time" (English, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese)
- Entertain us with a puppet show or skit
- Organize and lead an Air Hockey or pool tournament
- Organize and lead a monthly bingo night
- Organize a scavenger hunt for the families
- Host a cookout for families
- Provide a catered meal for the families from a health inspected kitchen.
- Decorate cookies or cakes with the children
- Host a sporting event party
- Teach dance lessons
- Organize a game night (board games, cards, etc)
- Help clean and disinfect toys
- Host a Karaoke Party
- Share a special skill (arts and crafts, drawing, etc)
- Share your musical abilities
- Make goodie-bags or baskets with our families—they love to snack!
- Make door decorations with our families
- Decorate the common areas in a festive holiday theme
