Naomi Leadbeater

Naomi Leadbeater is a cancer immunology researcher driven by a desire to develop innovative therapies that harness the immune system to treat pediatric cancers. She earned her B.A. in Biochemistry from Colorado College, where her curiosity for translational research took root. Her past work spans a variety of disciplines including projects in benzyne reaction optimization, miRNA-184 binding characterization, and CAR T Cell design for high-risk hematological malignancies.

Leadbeater’s scientific interests center on immunotherapeutic design and the mechanisms by which immune pathways can be leveraged to improve outcomes for children with catastrophic diseases. At the St. Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, she is excited to build on her foundation in biochemistry and expand her understanding of cancer biology through hands-on research and mentorship from leading scientists in the field.

Drawn to St. Jude by its collaborative spirit and bold mission to advance cures for pediatric diseases, Leadbeater is eager to contribute to a scientific community that transforms discovery into hope. She looks forward to growing as a researcher in an environment that values both academic excellence and human impact.
