Arun Solanki, MD

Arun Solanki, MD is a child neurologist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where he supports clinical translational neuroscience research focused on rare and catastrophic neurological diseases. With a background in clinical care and training from Saint Louis University, Solanki has built his practice around understanding complex neurodevelopmental, neurogenetic, and neuromuscular disorders in pediatric populations.

His research centers on establishing natural histories and performing deep phenotyping for rare neurological conditions, helping define meaningful outcome measures and laying the groundwork for future gene-targeted therapies. Solanki’s contributions aim to bridge the gap between clinical care and scientific innovation—ensuring that discoveries in the lab lead to real-world impact for patients with limited treatment options.

Through the Master’s in Clinical Investigations program at the St. Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, Solanki is expanding his expertise in clinical trial design, development, and management. Motivated by a desire to play a greater role in the mission of the Center for Experimental Neurotherapeutics (CENT), he is committed to helping advance research that targets the most severe pediatric neurological diseases and brings new hope to affected families.
