Our history
Kansas St. Jude patient Clayton was diagnosed with Stage IV brain cancer at seven months old. Today, Clayton is a happy, rambunctious and kind teenager. During one of Clayton's trips back home from the hospital in Memphis, his big sister Tatum decided to start a student-led fundraising campaign for St. Jude in the Kansas City area. In her sophomore year of high school, Team up for St. Jude Kansas City began!
Tatum began by recruiting eight teenagers from across the metro area and formed a student-led advisory board made up of five area schools. Since its inception in 2016, Team Up for St. Jude KC has raised over $290,000 for to further the lifesaving mission of St. Jude. Today, Team Up for St. Jude KC aims to spread awareness, raise funds and inspire leadership for the lifesaving mission of St. Jude.
