Our mission is to improve the survival rates of children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases worldwide through the sharing of knowledge, technology, and organizational skills.
About St. Jude Global
Today, more than 80% of children with cancer live in low- and middle-income countries. Most of those children will die from their diseases. St. Jude Global, a major expansion of the former St. Jude International Outreach Program, is a strategic initiative led by the St. Jude Department of Global Pediatric Medicine. Our goal is to have a fundamental impact on this sobering statistic and to improve treatment outcomes for children around the world.
The core pillars of our efforts are:
- Education and training programs offered through the St. Jude Global Academy
- Collaborative work with our Global Alliance members and collaborators around the world to strengthen health systems and impact patient care
- World-class research to advance knowledge and drive continuous improvement in the level and quality of care for children worldwide
