Immunology Research Experts
-
Hongbo Chi, PhD
Chi
Hongbo Chi, PhD, St. Jude Department of Immunology chair, has made significant contributions to the study of immunology and immunometabolism. His work, using single-cell CRISPR screens and other field-leading multi-omics analysis, has led to a deeper understanding of the interplay between metabolism and immunity—such as nutrient effects on immune responses and metabolic reprogramming of cell fate, including their effects on anticancer immune cells.

Benjamin A. Youngblood, PhD
Youngblood
Benjamin Youngblood, PhD, St. Jude Department of Immunology, addresses some of the most challenging issues facing biomedical research by developing effective T–cell-based immunotherapies. His research focuses on characterizing how the immune system responds to tumors and why T cells can lose efficacy against cancer.

Caitlin Zebley, MD, PhD
Zebley
Caitlin Zebley, MD, PhD, Department of Bone Marrow Transplantation & Cellular Therapy, is a physician scientist focused on bringing novel cellular therapy discoveries directly from the bench to the bedside through her research in the fundamental mechanisms of T-cell biology and epigenetic programming.
