Research Interests

Developing and validating quantitative methods used to assess structural brain injury:

  • Tissue segmentation and classification
  • Registration and spatial normalization algorithms for multimodality imaging
  • Diffusion tensor imaging
  • Myelin water imaging
  • Cortical thickness measures

Structure-function relationship of white matter injury as a result of pharmacological or radiological insult through quantitative MR measures:

  • White matter injury attributed to cranial irradiation or chemotherapy
  • Relationship of white matter injury and neurocognitive function
  • Relationship of white matter injury and neurocognitive response to intervention

Assessing solid tumor response to therapy:

  • Pharmacokinetic modeling of dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging to assess and predict solid tumor response
