St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in collaboration with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, offers a 12-month PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency with a focus on pediatrics. The partnership with Le Bonheur provides the resident with advanced training with experienced preceptors in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy for a diverse range of pediatric patient populations, including those who are immunocompromised. St. Jude and Le Bonheur pharmacists practice at the top of their licenses and offer comprehensive pharmacy services. St. Jude is an Infectious Disease Society of America Center of Excellence for Antimicrobial Stewardship. Le Bonheur is the major pediatric clinical training site for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) at Memphis, and pharmacists have collaboratively provided antimicrobial stewardship services at the institution since 2011.
The resident will gain clinical experience at both sites with general infectious disease consult services and transplant infectious disease consult services for bone marrow and solid organ transplants. St. Jude offers special infectious disease experiences in oncology and nonmalignant hematology (primarily sickle cell disease). Le Bonheur offers infectious disease experiences in general pediatrics and critical care. Le Bonheur (with UTHSC) offers extensive academic opportunities, including didactic lectures and precepting students on clinical rotation.
The resident will be expected to complete a major project relevant to infectious diseases. Experiences during the residency will enable the resident to pursue a clinical, research or academic career focused on infectious diseases in a wide range of pediatric populations.

A minimum of three required rotations will be completed at Le Bonheur. Including elective rotations, a maximum of five rotations (40% of the year) will be completed at Le Bonheur.
