The fifth annual St. Jude Gala presented by AngioDynamics was held Aug. 31 at Saratoga National Golf Club in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. More than 240 guests celebrated the mission of St. Jude by raising $243,000, including $78,000 from a strong Give to Live auction. The night brought the event’s lifetime total to $1.2 million.
ALSAC/St. Jude Boards of Directors and Governors member Paul Wein spoke at the event, as did a St. Jude patient family from Syracuse, N.Y. The gala is special for Wein, whose son, Jake, was referred to St. Jude for treatment when he was 4-months old. Now in his 30s, Jake is also an avid fundraiser and supporter of the St. Jude mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®
