More than 650 members of the country music industry gathered in Memphis in January to celebrate radio partners who have raised awareness and more than $600 million for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through Country Cares for St. Jude Kids® since it was established in 1989. Visitors, including country music artists, had the opportunity to tour St. Jude and meet some of the patients who are fighting for their lives. Randy Owen, Country Cares founder and lead singer of the music group ALABAMA, was in attendance, along with Chris Young, Mac McAnally, Dan + Shay and Big & Rich. About 200 radio stations participate in Country Cares every year.
