For Educators

The St. Jude STEMM Education and Outreach Program partners with educators to co-design STEMM curricula, instructional resources, and classroom learning opportunities that connect students to authentic science and biomedical research.

STEMM teaching and learning

The St. Jude STEMM Education and Outreach Program partners with educators to co-design STEMM curricula, instructional resources, and classroom learning opportunities that connect students to authentic science and biomedical research. Through school partnerships, professional learning, and evidence-based instructional practices, we support engaging and inclusive STEMM learning across the K–12 continuum.

Our teaching and learning initiatives are grounded in STEMM Pedagogies of Care, an approach that positions science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine as tools for understanding and addressing challenges that affect individuals and communities.

Through authentic phenomena, project-based learning, scientific inquiry, and collaborative problem solving, students explore how STEMM can be used to improve lives, strengthen communities, and care for others. By connecting learning to issues that matter to students and their communities, we create opportunities for meaningful engagement, belonging, and deeper learning.

Curriculum collaboratives

Curriculum Collaboratives are school-based partnerships that bring together educators and St. Jude staff to co-design STEMM curricula and instructional resources. Through these collaborations, teachers and administrators work alongside our team to develop engaging, standards-aligned learning opportunities that connect classroom instruction to authentic scientific questions and real-world applications.
