Since 2010, the members of Lambda Theta Alpha have been raising funds and awareness for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Lambda Theta Alpha was founded at Kean University in 1975.
Founded on the principles of unity, love and respect, the sorority cultivates a sisterhood through charitable and educational programs. Although Lambda Theta Alpha is Latin by tradition, the sorority is inclusive to all women regardless of race, color, creed, sexual orientation or religious beliefs.

Throughout their ongoing partnership with St. Jude, Lambda Theta Alpha has actively supported the mission through fundraising and awareness efforts, including being a proud St. Jude Walk National Team, as well as multiple visits to the St. Jude campus in Memphis, Tennessee, to engage directly with the mission.
