Why childhood cancer donations are essential
Making a donation for childhood cancer research and treatment not only helps St. Jude make breakthroughs, but also touches the lives of children and their families
Donations to St. Jude impact thousands of children each year and help ensure families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live. And consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay.
Only with strong community support can we remain steadfast in our work to find a cure for childhood cancer and support families affected by pediatric life-threatening diseases.
Has a child you know been diagnosed with pediatric cancer? See our patient referral process.
There are great research institutions, great hospitals and great charities — St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is all three.

A charity donation in honor of someone is a great way to recognize and celebrate people that who are important to you by giving back to others.
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a philanthropic giving vehicle that can provide a tax benefit and allow you to recommend grants to charities of your choice over time. It also gives donors the flexibility to choose how much and how often they give to St. Jude, and it allows donors' money in a DAF to grow tax-free. Our federal tax ID number is 62-0646012.
When writing or revising a will, planning for retirement or purchasing a life insurance policy, consider giving to St. Jude to help our mission of researching childhood cancer and saving children. You can give through individual retirement accounts (IRAs), gift annuities, stocks, life insurance, bequests, real estate and more.
Many companies have programs that support employee giving. You can host a workplace fundraiser or give through payroll deduction. You can also see if your employer has a matching gift program that will double your donation to St. Jude, so you can make an even greater impact on childhood cancer research and treatment.
Federal and military employees can give through the Combined Federal Campaign each year. Our charity code is #10560.
Donate cars, trailers, boats and more through Charitable Adult Rides and Services (CARS), a nonprofit organization that helps other 501(c)(3)s process these types of gifts and donations.

Why choose St. Jude for a children's cancer donation?
Families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Every child deserves a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment. When you support St. Jude, you help give kids with cancer around the world that chance. Together, we can save more lives.
