St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has ranked third among the best pediatric cancer hospitals on U.S. News & World Report’s annual “Best Children’s Hospitals” list. The list, released today, ranks the 50 highest-scoring pediatric hospitals in the U.S. in 11 comprehensive specialties, including pediatric cancer.
The rankings rely on key clinical data as well as a detailed annual survey of pediatric specialists. The ranking methodology factors in patient outcomes, such as mortality rates and infection prevention, bone marrow transplantation services, programs for specific forms of cancer, available clinical resources, and compliance with best practices.
