ALSAC exists solely to raise and provide the funds necessary to operate and maintain St. Jude. St. Jude researchers also receive substantial support in terms of external grant funding.

Salary and funding opportunities
Postdoctoral fellows at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are not required to bring their own funding and are compensated with a competitive salary above the recommended NIH levels. On this salary postdocs are able to enjoy a comfortable lifestyle in Memphis, a vibrant city with a low cost of living.
We encourage postdocs to pursue competitive external funding opportunities as part of their professional development. In addition, several named institutional fellowships are awarded to outstanding postdoctoral fellows completing their training at St. Jude.
