Experience Our Summer Internship Program

Over 10 weeks, you’ll be immersed in ALSAC’s culture and work alongside passionate professionals. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Meaningful projects that make a real impact
  • Mentorship and collaboration with teammates and leaders across departments

Other Intern Opportunities:

    • ALSAC partners with two well-known local educational institutions, the University of Memphis and LeMoyne-Owen College, to provide professional and philanthropic experience to student interns through their call center internship programs.
    • As a student intern, you will develop leadership skills, gain career experience by performing outgoing calls to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital donors to thank them and give back to the community.

The Recruitment Process

 

We’re excited to welcome passionate, driven students to join our mission-driven team each summer. Here’s what to expect during the recruitment process:

     Review all posted internship positions and apply to the roles that best match your skills, experiences and interests. You’re welcome to apply to multiple positions if they align with your goals.

    VIDEO INTERVIEW 
    December - January

    After reviewing applications, our Talent Acquisition team selects candidates to complete a HireVue video interview — a virtual, pre-recorded format that allows you to respond to a set of questions at your convenience.

    This video interview is a required step in the selection process and is reviewed by hiring managers to assess your fit for the internship.

    Interns begin their 10-week journey and experience includes orientation, team introductions and access to program highlights such as:

Frequently Asked Questions

 
  1. Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, as well as recent graduates (within one year of graduation), are eligible to apply.

  2. We welcome students from a wide range of disciplines including communications, marketing, business, data analytics, finance, IT, nonprofit management and more. 

  3. Yes, all summer internships at ALSAC/St. Jude are paid.

  4. The program runs for 10 weeks, beginning the first week of June and ending the second week of August.

  5. Most internship positions are based at ALSAC’s headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee. We also offer internship opportunities in our territory offices located in various cities across the U.S. Some roles may provide hybrid or remote options depending on the department and position.

  6. Interns work on meaningful projects that align with ALSAC’s mission and goals. You’ll also participate in group projects, leadership chats and professional development sessions.

  7. Yes, each intern is assigned a day-to-day manager who provides guidance, feedback and support throughout the program.

  8. Applications for the Summer Internship Program will open in November. Interested candidates can apply directly through our website at stjude.org/alsacintern.

  9. A current resume is required to apply. A cover letter is optional as it can help highlight your interest and alignment with role.

What's required?

  • A passion for our mission!
  • Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university and in good standing.
  • Must be comfortable with Zoom and Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
