Annual St. Jude Seminars and Symposia

  1. Presented by the Professional Excellence Council, this seminar aims to encourage attendees to develop healthy coping strategies for everyday life situations. Past topics include keeping cool in difficult situations, addressing problems with creative solutions, and learning how to reduce stress.

  2. This annual symposium brings together a group of the world's leading investigators in basic science and clinical and translational research to discuss recent advances and the future of childhood cancer as well as other catastrophic diseases.

  3. This course is a beginner’s level introductory class to the Child Life profession designed for current Child Life students, future Child Life students, and prospective interns with a realistic view of the Child Life role in a hospital setting.

  4. With a participant-informed topic selected each year, this 3-day conference focuses on the exchange of innovative ideas among medical and pediatric oncologists (fellows, residents), nurse practitioners, oncology nurses, and other associated allied health professionals.

Modeled after the Southeastern Residents Conference (SERC), this 2-day conference provides an opportunity for post-graduate pharmacy trainees in the mid-south region to formally present the results of their research and major projects, and allows for fellowship, relationship development, and collegial sharing of ideas and information.
