Alana has big plans for the future — a teacher, a lawyer, a ballerina, a scientist, you name it.
But those dreams were threatened when an MRI revealed cancer.
Alana had Hodgkin lymphoma.
She was immediately referred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
Families, like Alana's, will never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.
At St. Jude, Alana’s treatment included chemotherapy.

Where I would get emotional about it often, she’s been like, ‘Mommy, I’m okay. I’m doing good.’
“The bubbles and the laughter, the skipping and the dancing, it’s been this way the entire journey,” said her mom.
Alana also took part in the Transition Oncology Program, which is designed to help children adjust to life after treatment.
Today, she has more free time to spend outside and is getting back to living out her big plans.
