Position Overview

The Web Content Internship will delve into the dynamics of website management, strategy, and optimization. The intern will gain experience in web page creation, content strategy, site health monitoring, search engine optimization (SEO), accessibility and section 508 compliance, and web analytics. As part of this internship, you will collaborate across our hospital’s many websites, including patient education and research, offering you exposure to institutional operations. This position provides a unique opportunity to work on diverse web projects, utilizing multiple software platforms.

    • Candidates must be enrolled in bachelor-level or above studies in media and communications, web management, digital media, user experience, or similar field with a 3.0 GPA or above.
    • Experience managing some aspects of a website.
    • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS), Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, or similar platforms.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
    • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical capabilities.
    • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to manage priorities independently when required.
    • Assist with web content projects and make content updates as needed.
    • Design and create web pages, ensuring the right placement of images, videos, and other content elements.
    • Collaborate with department stakeholders to provide SEO insights and make site health recommendations.
    • Evaluate website designs and component enhancements for optimal user experience.
    • Monitor website analytics, review, and create reports, and communicate findings to team and department leadership.
    • Analyze organic website traffic, suggesting improvements based on keyword performance.
    • Regularly review websites for SEO optimization opportunities, accessibility concerns, and broken links, culminating in comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
    • This internship does not include any development or programming.
