When St. Jude opened in 1962, the same year an American orbited the Earth for the first time, the overall childhood cancer survival rate was 20%. Since then, treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push survival rates to more than 80%.
Later this year, four civilians – including a St. Jude cancer survivor – will embark on a multi-day journey that represents a new era for human spaceflight and exploration.
Inspiration4 has a goal of raising $200 million to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude so that children around the world who are living with cancer can have a brighter future.
