The 56th annual AutoZone Liberty Bowl scored a touchdown once again for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. This year’s teams – Texas A&M University’s Aggies and the West Virginia University (WVU) Mountaineers – joined a long-standing tradition and visited St. Jude before the big game, touring the hospital and meeting some patients. The AutoZone Liberty Bowl was played on December 29 at Memphis’ Liberty Bowl stadium. Country music artists Big Kenny and John Rich of Big & Rich entertained the crowd during half-time. St. Jude patient Adriana sang the national anthem before the game and appeared onstage during the half-time performance by Big & Rich, along with St. Jude patients Caleb, Allie and Roman. Texas A&M’s Aggies beat the WVU Mountaineers 45 to 37.
