As her mom Kiara puts it, Ashtyn loves to cheer, and “warms everyone’s heart.”

When Ashtyn was off balance at cheer practice and began to throw up frequently, her mom knew something was wrong.

During a visit to the emergency room, doctors discovered a tumor on Ashtyn’s brain.

Ashtyn had medulloblastoma, a type of brain cancer.

She was immediately referred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Families, like Ashtyn’s, never receive a bill from St. Jude for anything.
