When Ashtyn’s family learned she had a type of cancerous brain tumor called a medulloblastoma, they turned to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.  Ashtyn’s treatment included proton therapy and chemotherapy.

St. Jude is God-sent,” said Ashtyn’s mom. “Everything we need is here. This is a terrible situation, to have a child with cancer, but St. Jude makes it less stressful on parents. They’ve made this a positive experience.” Ashtyn is finished with treatment and visits St. Jude for regular scans. She loves cheering, gymnastics and coloring.
