Divisional Focus
The Division of Anesthesiology utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and techniques to provide safe and skilled anesthetic care/sedation for pediatric patients undergoing operative, diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures. Our practice focuses on patient safety and prevention of complications and adverse events. The Division of Anesthesiology coordinates a peri-operative clinic and a multi- disciplinary pain management service in order to provide patients with optimal acute and chronic pain relief. Members of the Division of Anesthesiology are active in developing research protocols targeting patient safety, pain control and routinely collaborate with other St. Jude departments conducting research.
