Overview

The Data Science team within the Department of Psychology & Biobehavioral Sciences provides end-to-end support for the full data lifecycle, ensuring that research and clinical programs are bolstered by reliable data systems and rigorous data management practices. We offer the following data-science services:

  • Design and maintain secure pipelines for clinical and research data collection
  • Implement quality checks to ensure accuracy
  • Develop data dictionaries and documentation for project consistency
  • Perform statistical and spatial analysis and provide user-friendly tools for study teams to facilitate data discovery.

Because psychology and biobehavioral research involves complex longitudinal information, ranging from developmental assessments to behavioral observations, the team’s ability to organize and structure these datasets across all phases of the pipeline is essential for meaningful analysis.

Databases and Systems: Our database analysts and systems engineers ensure the robust and secure databases and systems needed to support clinical operations and research are compliant with data management practices.
