Dr. Doug Green loves exploring the fundamental questions of fate, life, and death at the cellular level. He is a key opinion leader in the field, authoring over 600 publications and has received many honors and awards, including his election to the National Academy of Science in 2020. Currently, Dr. Green serves as the Peter C. Doherty Endowed Chair of Immunology, chair of the Immunology Department, and co-leader of the St. Jude Cancer Biology Program. Under his leadership, Dr. Green has fostered a research community defined by collaboration, open exchange, and robust professional development. Outside of the lab, Dr. Green is an avid musician, blogger, and magician who draws inspiration from his various pursuits to create a unique mentoring style that blends scientific rigor, humor, and appreciation for nature.
