Dr. Andrew Jackson Murphy is a clinician scientist and Associate Member of the Department of Surgery at St. Jude. He is a pediatric surgeon who focuses on the resection of pediatric solid tumors. He received his MD from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his general surgical residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and his pediatric surgery fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital. In his research role at St. Jude, Murphy leads biological-based research efforts that evaluate the high-risk histology and basis of treatment resistance in cases of Wilms tumor.
