Departments

Born and raised in Ventura County, California, specifically in Oxnard and Port Hueneme, Segura earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation administration for special events with a minor in marketing from CSU Chico, also known as Chico State. During her undergraduate years, she volunteered her time with various clubs and nonprofits. Notably, she participated in Up ‘til Dawn, a letter-writing campaign to raise money for St. Jude, from 2010 to 2013, serving on the event planning committee and taking on various roles during the event.

She has experience in both the private and public sectors, including nonprofits and corporations. She has overseen a range of in-person community events, from two-day themed festivals in downtown Oxnard to city Christmas parades, and has been involved in coordinating tours for visitors and press for Visit Camarillo. Throughout these roles, she successfully managed and coordinated large teams of volunteers for numerous events and festivals.

Her expertise extends to marketing and planning for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events, including managing the back-end logistics of events and launching Zoom webinars and meetings.

As the project lead for GPM Virtual Events, she plays a pivotal role in managing various virtual events, such as webinars, workshops, and collaborative hybrid events, and orchestrates internal processes in collaboration with colleagues across departments.
