Join us for the 17th annual Fitness for a Cure benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital!

The Family Event will showcase the talent of our young St. Jude Performance Team members, face-painting, raffles and other kid-friendly activities.

The main event is the semi-formal Fitness for a Cure Gala featuring a private sponsorship reception, live and silent auction, fitness show, and live entertainment themed in celebration of our 17 years of support for St. Jude. Last year’s events were our most successful to date drawing over 1,200 attendees from the Boston metro area and Greater Merrimack Valley, and raising over $406,000 for the lifesaving work of St. Jude.

We have set a lofty goal to raise $500,000 this year to bring our 17 year cumulative total to $3.7 million. Together, we can achieve this milestone and make a significant difference in the life of a child with cancer.

  3. The St. Jude Performance Team was created along with Fitness for a Cure 15 years ago. Led by Sherri Sarrouf, the team’s focus is to raise money and awareness for St. Jude through their performances. The team performs every other year at St. Jude, where they spend time with the patients during their visits. With unique insight on the patients and families they are helping, the team educates and entertains communities in which they perform. The 2015 St. Jude Performance Team consists of 15 adults and over 100 local children, all of whom volunteer their time and energy.

The team is open to anyone over the age of five.  Members are expected to attend monthly practices beginning in November, with additional practices in the months of February and March. All practices take place on Sundays.

If you are interested in joining the St. Jude Performance Team, please contact sherri@slsfitness.com.

  5. Fitness for a Cure began when St. Jude supporter Sherri Sarrouf decided to host an evening event to raise money and awareness for St. Jude. Sherri believes it is very important to "pay it forward". Being blessed with two healthy children keeps Sherri focused on giving back.

In 1999, Sherri put together a team of fitness professionals and dance performers who believed that those that are strong in mind and body should give back to the sick and less fortunate. Attendees of the inaugural event left feeling energized from the performers, the upbeat music and the exercise demonstrations. Most importantly, everyone felt great about giving to such a lifesaving organization and motivated to exercise!

Since its inception, Fitness for a Cure has raised more than $3.6 million for the kids of St. Jude. Last year’s events were our most successful to date drawing over 1,200 attendees and raising more than $405,000.

Thanks to the support of the Greater Merrimack Valley communities in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Fitness for a Cure has provided St. Jude with vital funding – but St. Jude still needs our help.
