Year-end giving options for 2023
Year-end gifts from generous St. Jude supporters directly impact the lives and futures of children with pediatric cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Your year-end donation helps support our lifesaving mission: Finding cures. Saving children.®
Benefits of year-end donations
Year-end donations are simply the funds, assets and/or items donated by supporters to qualified nonprofit organizations at the end of the year.
From fiscal protection to emotional connection, there are multiple benefits to year-end donations:
Spread holiday cheer
One of the most impactful things you can do during this time is give back. Spread the holiday spirit by helping provide lifesaving treatment for the children of St. Jude.
Making a year-end donation to St. Jude means you join a worldwide mission. At St. Jude, we believe that all children should be given the quality care that they deserve. By making a year-end donation, you are giving St. Jude the freedom to focus on what matters most – saving kids regardless of their financial situation.
Tax deductions and lowered tax liability
Individuals who itemize deductions on their taxes may be eligible to claim a charitable contribution deduction against their taxable income after making a year-end gift to a qualifying charitable organization like St. Jude.
In addition, by lowering an individual’s taxable income, these types of donations can also lower the amount of tax owed by the donor, reducing their tax liability.

Learn more about how St. Jude uses year-end donations
In the midst of a global pandemic, St. Jude launched a historic six-year, $12.9 billion strategic plan that will expand patient care and accelerate research in the U.S. and globally for children with catastrophic diseases.
The six-year course will allow St. Jude to significantly influence the way the world understands and treats childhood cancer, sickle cell disease, neurological disorders and infectious diseases. Donations provided to St. Jude support this strategic plan, helping fund cutting-edge research and cover the cost of lifesaving treatment for children across the globe.
Your donation to St. Jude helps give families hope and the greatest gift of all — more time with their loved ones.
Your gift to St. Jude means …
Progress at St. Jude

$1,000 could help provide three hours of physical therapy.
Physical therapy is used to improve or maintain a child’s strength, balance, endurance, gross motor skills and mobility while receiving treatment.
$2,500 could help provide an ultrasound study to monitor and treat a patient's disease.
An ultrasound study is among the diagnostic imaging tests that doctors use to diagnose and monitor disease and treatment.
$5,000 could help provide 10 platelet transfusions.
During chemotherapy, the platelet count of patients can drop to dangerously low levels so platelet transfusions are essential for treatment.
