About Kim E. Nichols

Dr. Kim Nichols earned her BS in Biology from Dartmouth College and MD from Duke University School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in pediatric oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute as well as a postdoctoral fellowship in molecular genetics at Massachusetts General Hospital. A member of the St. Jude faculty  and Department of Oncology since 2014, Dr. Nichols serves as the Director of the Division of Cancer Predisposition, which aims to enhance clinical care, research, and education surrounding hereditary forms of childhood cancer. Her research program focuses on identifying and characterizing germline genetic variants and understanding how they increase the risk for cancer and certain immune disorders.
