St. Jude kindergarteners celebrated at graduation ceremony

Thirteen kindergarteners participated in the 2018 St. Jude Kindergarten Graduation ceremony as their parents, family members and friends proudly watched from their seats in the auditorium of the Marlo Thomas Center for Global Education and Collaboration.

Patients wore white caps and gowns for the event, which included a processional, an invocation and a welcome from Laurie Leigh, director of the St. Jude School Program. Child Life music therapist Amy Love led the crowd in a special graduation song written for the occasion.

After the patients were presented with their certificates of graduation, attendees enjoyed a slideshow highlighting each graduate.

The St. Jude School Program hosts the annual event, which celebrates students who completed kindergarten this year while undergoing treatment.
