Patients, siblings and their guests enjoyed a night of rock and roll music, fun with friends, and a night of wonderful memories during the annual Teen Formal at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in April.
Before the big night began, the teens received salon treatment inside the hospital’s Danny Thomas/ALSAC Pavilion. Girls had their hair, make-up, and nails done while the boys donned tuxedos. Employees and volunteers lined the blue carpet to the event as the teens arrived in limousines.
This year’s event featured a Rock ‘n’ Soul theme.
The Teen Formal is coordinated by the St. Jude Child Life Program and is one of several events held throughout the year that provide patients with a sense of normalcy in their lives while they potentially miss important milestones at home during their treatment for cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.
