Martha Perine Beard

Martha Perine Beard joined the ALSAC/St. Jude Boards in 2002 and was Chair of the St. Jude Board of Governors from 2015 to 2017.
Mrs. Beard recently retired as Senior Branch Executive of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, where she was responsible for the Federal Reserve’s operations in west Tennessee, east Arkansas and north Mississippi.
She is International Parliamentarian for Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® and has been certified as a Professional Registered Parliamentarian by the National Association of Parliamentarians®.
Mrs. Beard has been honored for her civic involvement by several Memphis organizations and profiled in the Commercial Appeal and the Memphis Business Journal. She graduated from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia, summa cum laude, and earned a master’s degree in Economics from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
