Now through Aug. 1, every student who joins the challenge will be automatically entered into the Inspiration4 St. Jude Science Fair. Participants will have the chance to receive exclusive prizes and experiences.
What's EPIC?

Experimenting, Prototyping, Inventing and Creating
The St. Jude EPIC Challenge inspires students to apply their education and imagination, and flex their creative muscles by prototyping an invention or idea in support of the kids at St. Jude.
How the science fair works:

1) Join the challenge
Sign up and join St. Jude EPIC Challenge, our engineering design fundraiser for kids to be automatically entered into the Inspiration4 St. Jude Science Fair. Students, with the help of their parents and teachers, can sign up to participate as a group or individual.
- Schools or organizations: Register and invite classrooms/families to sign up and join your team.
- Parents and teachers: Search for your school/organization and sign up, or take the challenge on your own by clicking “participate without an organization.”

2) Unleash your creativity
Once registered, follow the links inside of the challenge dashboard to finish personalizing your project page. Use the resources tab to access your free program curriculum and follow the lessons included in the student journal and facilitator guide to complete your challenge.
The EPIC Challenge curriculum meets Next Generation Science Standards for K-8 engineering design and can easily be implemented from the classroom or home. All ages and grade levels are welcome to participate.

3)Unlock prize and experiences!
As students research, design and create their idea to help others, they will also be supporting the kids of St. Jude.
Students will be encouraged to share their concepts with family and friends and seek "funding" for their idea in the form of donations made to their online project page.
Every dollar raised helps unlock new EPIC prizes and experiences while ensuring families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food.

From now until Aug. 1, every student who signs up for the St. Jude EPIC Challenge will be automatically entered into the science fair and eligible to begin redeeming prizes, starting with the first donation.
Once you’ve joined the challenge, stay tuned for special emails with messages from the Inspiration4 Crew and new opportunities to unlock out-of-this-world experiences.
Here's what you can earn along the way

Grand prizes and national awards
In addition to prizes recognizing the top individual and team fundraisers, two additional awards will be presented in honor of the philanthropy, ingenuity and innovation generated by classrooms and schools across the country.
All participants are encouraged to submit a video presentation of their project or idea to be considered by a panel of all-star judges.
As a part of the competition, four lucky participants will receive an exclusive invitation to attend the historic Inspiration4 shuttle launch this fall.

About Inspiration4
Inspiration4 is a first-of-its-kind spaceflight with an ambitious goal for kids here on Earth. St. Jude knows that with the power of imagination great things can happen, which is why we’re asking kids from coast to coast to research, design, create and present an invention or idea they think could help kids just like them. Learn more about the historic flight.
Once you've signed up and developed your invention or idea, tell us about it! Send us a video to be considered by our all-star panel of judges and to be eligible to receive out-of-this-world awards and experiences. Submit your video.
Thank you for helping St. Jude kids
