Born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri, I became passionate about working with children, shaping both my academic and professional journey. After completing my bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in education at the University of Texas at Austin, I completed a Master of Science degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine in rehabilitation counseling and psychology with a dual track specialization in developmental disabilities and psychiatric disorders. My career continued at Duke Health working as a clinician on various Phase I and Phase II clinical trials ranging from studies exploring the safety and efficacy of cord blood infusions in autistic populations to improving symptom management in adolescent and young adult cancer patients. Subsequently, I obtained my PhD in school psychology from UNC while also completing certificate programs in developmental disabilities and in social innovation and entrepreneurship. My clinical internship in pediatric psychology at Ch— I often integrate these passions into my professional practice through creative, patient-centered approaches. Clinically, my areas of interest include psycho-oncology, pain management and supporting neurodevelopmentally diverse populations. As a result, my clinical training has uniquely prepared me to recognize and honor the lived experiences of each patient, while tailoring evidence-based interventions utilizing a developmentally sensitive and culturally responsive framework. I look forward to continuing this work at St. Jude, advancing equitable, innovative and inclusive pediatric cancer care.
