Danny Thomas
Founder, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

"Help me find my way in life, and I will build you a shrine. "
That's what Danny Thomas prayed to St. Jude Thaddeus, patron saint of hopeless causes, as Danny struggled to take his entertainment career to the next level.
In the years that followed and with subsequent prayers to St. Jude Thaddeus, Danny's career flourished through films and television. He moved to Los Angeles to enhance his opportunities and became an internationally known entertainer. He starred in Make Room for Daddy, later known as The Danny Thomas Show. It was there that he remembered his pledge to build a shrine to St. Jude.
That's when he began to fulfill his vow.
