CBS Sports has joined forces with St. Jude to raise awareness of pediatric cancer and other life-threatening diseases

Throughout the month of September, CBS Sports shines a spotlight on St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with PSAs featuring James Brown and Coach Bill Cowher, and all CBS game and studio announcers will wear St. Jude lapel pins and ties to remind viewers of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

CBS SPORTS and the cast of THE NFL TODAY visited with St. Jude patients and families for a day of fun football activities.

With the support of CBS SPORTS, the NFL and football fans around the country, families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — because we believe all they should worry about is helping their child live.

St. Jude patient Austin, an aspiring sports broadcaster, joined THE NFL TODAY as a special coorespondent.

Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to more than 80% since it opened more than 50 years ago. We won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
