The Domino's Village

The Domino's Village offers the families of St. Jude a home away from home — a place of celebrations, bonding and hope.

It offers a welcoming refuge. It has an arts and crafts room, a prayer room, community kitchen, fitness room, outdoor playground and more.

Meet Lizzie

Lizzie celebrated her 7th birthday in 2023, and it was a milestone. A milestone that her parents, Mary and Juan, wanted to celebrate with great enthusiasm.

When she was 18 months old, Lizzie was diagnosed with optic nerve glioma, a slow-growing brain tumor. The optic nerve is the one that connects the eye with the brain, which caused Lizzie to lose vision.

After receiving treatment at a local hospital in her home state of Texas, Lizzie was referred to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in the summer of 2021.

“She is a fighter. This has been a challenging road for anyone and she has handled it like a champion,” her mother said. Lizzie returns to St. Jude regularly for check-ups.
