Lecture date: October 15, 2026

Tara Henderson, MD, MPH, FASCO

Chair, Department of Pediatrics
Lurie Children's Hospital, Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine

The successes of cure should be matched by decades of health, and the lesssons we learn from survivors must shape the treatments we give at diagnosis. I will summarize studies defining subsequent malignancy risks, risk factors, and how the findings have driven screening guidelines. I will address gaps in survivorship care and describe interventions designed to improve awareness and uptake.
