Divisional Focus
The Division of Biostatistics for Genomics and Neuroimaging develops and provides specialized statistical expertise to rigorously answer clinically urgent and very challenging scientific questions that arise in the analysis and interpretation of high-dimensional biological data. Division faculty pursue statistical research programs that are especially pertinent to the St. Jude mission of finding cures and saving children. The Division places special emphasis on integrating diverse sources of high-dimensional data with clinical information to advance our understanding of the biological relationships among genomic features, neuroimaging characteristics, and the clinical manifestation and prognosis of childhood diseases. It collaborates with laboratory, computational, and clinical investigators in basic, translational, and clinical research programs from across the institution and the nation to more effectively prevent, diagnosis, and treat pediatric cancers and other devastating diseases of childhood.
