Summer is the season of warm weather, school breaks, longer days ... and St. Jude charity events. Come together with friends and family this summer to help St. Jude give every child with cancer a chance.

1.
Attend a dinner, gala or charity golf event
From St. Jude gala events and fundraising dinners to charity golf tournaments and concerts, fun events across the country help support our lifesaving mission, with many happening in the summer months. Check our list of upcoming events to find something near you.
More interested in a virtual option? Consider bidding on an item in an online charity auction. Offerings are being updated all the time, and include everything from luxury travel packages to signed guitars to meet-and-greets with celebrities and more.

2.
Get fit with the St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend
The event itself isn't until the first Saturday in December, but to prepare for it, you'll be training all summer long. The St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend is the largest single-day fundraising event for St. Jude. While fundraising is not required, those who raise funds for St. Jude kids get access to exclusive race-weekend perks, as well as incentives for hitting fundraising milestones.
Choose from the marathon, half marathon, 10K or 5K, with virtual and in-person options for an unforgettable race experience. We even provide training plans for each distance to keep you on track throughout the summer and fall.
3.
Check out the FedEx St. Jude Championship
Every August, the annual FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis, Tennessee, brings together world-class golfers, St. Jude patients, fans and supporters.
While golf is the main attraction, it isn't the only way to celebrate St. Jude during the 5-day event. Other activities include the St. Jude JAM, a concert fundraiser leading up to the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and St. Jude Courses and Cocktails, which features Southern fare from Memphis-based chefs and mixologists.

4.
Create your own St. Jude fundraiser
If you're not finding an existing event to attend, why not create your own? St. Jude provides all the tools you need to set up a fundraiser. Simply choose the activity you want to fundraise around (check out our list for inspiration), register your event and start fundraising.
When you sign up, you'll get a free fundraising website you can personalize to promote your event, a digital toolkit with social media assets and fundraising tips, and access to our team to answer any questions.
5.
Be part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
By September, summer is coming to a close. But September is also one of the best times to support St. Jude because it's Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
During September, you can join us in honoring those with pediatric cancer by learning about our research, making a donation or participating in a St. Jude Walk, a family-friendly event held in several states across the country. You can participate in-person or virtually while fundraising for St. Jude individually or with a team.

Ways to support St. Jude events this summer

Make a donation
When you donate to St. Jude, you're helping us provide customized care for some of the world's sickest children. You can give online anytime, or donate directly through one of our summer events after you've registered.

Fundraise individually or with a team
Many of our events include the option to fundraise. You can fundraise on your own, join an existing fundraising team or pull together a group of friends and family to work toward a common goal together.

Volunteer
Most of our summer fundraising events rely on help from volunteers. Check your event to see if you can give your time, or search for volunteer opportunities near you that help St. Jude all year round.

You can help the lifesaving mission of St. Jude by sharing our fundraising events on your social media channels. (Tip: Social media is also a great place to ask for fundraising donations!)
Why support St. Jude?
Families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.
When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80% within the U.S., and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.
Every child deserves a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment. When you support St. Jude, you help give kids with cancer around the world that chance. Together, we can save more lives.

Make an impact on St. Jude kids
When you support St. Jude, you support a lifesaving mission to advance cures and means of prevention for pediatric cancer for children worldwide. Unlike other hospitals, the majority of funds for St. Jude come from generous donors.
