Twin Cities St. Jude Walk/Run

St. Jude Walk/Run participants

Help support St. Jude by participating in St. Jude Walk/Run in Minneapolis/St. Paul, held annually in August or September. This is a nationwide 5K hybrid event, taking place in person and virtually, during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with a focus on ending childhood cancer. Together.

Do your part by registering as an individual, starting a team or joining a team for the Twin Cities St. Jude Walk/Run.

Races and challenges to support St. Jude

Participate in St. Jude Memphis Marathon Weekend® from the Twin Cities by registering for one of the virtual challenges!

Virtual race options include the 4-race challenge, 2-race challenge, marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K.

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered largely incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.

  1. Two rehab weights for St. Jude patients

    Rehab weights help patients regain strength and mobility after undergoing treatment of cancer.

  2. One red wagon

    Wagons are the preferred mode of travel through the halls of the hospital and around campus for our younger patients.

  3. One day of oxygen

    St. Jude patients may need oxygen to help their bodies function properly and aid in healing.

  4. Twenty days of meals for a St. Jude patient

    St. Jude provides patients and their families with meal cards for breakfast, lunch and dinner in Kay Kafe, the hospital’s cafeteria.

  5. Parent necessities for 20 patient families

    Parents who bring their children to St. Jude often leave home in a hurry and forget to pack day-to-day necessities such as shampoos, razors, deodorant, toothbrushes and lotion. At Tri Delta Place, our short-term housing facility, parents can obtain these essentials free of charge.

  6. An ultrasound study for a St. Jude patient

    An ultrasound study is among the diagnostic imaging tests that doctors use to diagnose and monitor disease and treatment.

  7. Daily room rate of the ICU

    The Intensive Care Unit at St. Jude has twice been recognized with the Beacon Award for Critical Care Excellence given by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses. In 2009, the St. Jude ICU became Tennessee’s first ICU to win the honor.
