To help ensure the safety of our campus for our patients, their families and our employees as the COVID-19 pandemic continues, we have made the difficult decision to suspend most of the volunteer, student, trainee and intern programs on our campus effective Monday, March 23, 2020. There are many activities the patients and families at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital enjoy. We have suggestions to help you plan your activity, but we also love to hear your creative ideas.
Here are some suggestions of ways your group can help make the time a family spends at St. Jude more pleasant. These projects can be enjoyed by all ages and can be done one time or become an ongoing event.
You must be 16 years of age or older to participate in group projects or special events at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
There is only one St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and it is located in Memphis, Tennessee. If you would like to help St. Jude but are not able to travel to Memphis, read about ideas for at-home projects.
- Craft activity party
Plan crafts for children and teens ages 2-18. Provide the idea and supplies; then help the patients and families exercise their creativity
- Singing performance of children's songs
Plan a performance of songs children enjoy
- Game party
Plan a party so patients and families can have fun interacting as they play games for prizes
Bring a group to host a Bingo game
Plan a puppet show, clown performance, magic show
