Meet the Tri-State Team

Our team is proud to partner with so many supporters in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut as, together, we strive to end childhood childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

When St. Jude opened in 1962, childhood cancer was considered largely incurable. Since then, St. Jude has helped push the overall survival rate from 20% to more than 80%, and we won't stop until no child dies from cancer.

Cynthia Gardner
Area Executive Director - Tri-State

Why St. Jude: "In my early 20's, I met young children with blood-related cancer when I entered their hospital room to draw their blood. At the time, the overall cure rate was only 20%. I've never forgotten those children and my work at St. Jude assures I never will. They, and all the children I've met since, inspire me to do more; to give more; and to never stop working for the better of others. Working for St. Jude is much more than a job. It's a pleasure and a gift."
