PFCC Platinum Partners

The Platinum Partner status honors Patient Family-Centered Care (PFCC) volunteers for their loyal service. The lifetime role provides individuals continued partnership in PFCC services without requiring a commitment to a specific adviser role.

Eligibility

Any PFCC adviser who has accumulated more than four years of service or 1,000 hours of service in a single or related adviser role is eligible to become a Platinum Partner. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the PFCC Director.

Benefits

  • Special recognition ceremony with induction as a Platinum Partner
  • Service pin signifying membership
  • 20% lifetime discount in the ALSAC gift shop
  • All current benefits for active volunteers, including invitation to annual Volunteer Services Celebration and Awards Ceremony, the PFCC Annual Report, free annual flu shot and lunch at the hospital when on campus

Selection Process

Upon eligibility, the adviser will be notified they have met the requirements to be considered a Platinum Partner. The adviser may choose to accept the role as Platinum Partner or may consider an alternate PFCC adviser role, excluding the one in which they accrued four years of service or 1,000 hours.

The adviser may indicate the PFCC roles he or she is interested in to the PFCC Director. They can be considered for an alternate role, as appropriate, based on skill sets, strengths and program needs.

If the adviser has met the requirements to become a Platinum Partner but chooses to remain an active volunteer, the adviser remains eligible to become a Platinum Partner and can reconsider acceptance in the future.

Platinum Partner Duties

St. Jude PFCC Platinum Partners continue to be committed and connected to the organization. Participation in occasional adviser opportunities is encouraged as agreed upon by the PFCC Director and the volunteer. Platinum Partners are invited to visit St. Jude often and are treated to lunch when on campus.

Platinum Partners are also asked to stay connected with the latest happenings by reading the various publications offered by Volunteer Services and by PFCC Services.

Platinum Partners are encouraged to attend all social and formal PFCC and volunteer recognition events, and will be honored at these gatherings. Partners should feel comfortable in giving their feedback and suggestions for improvement to the PFCC Director. They are also encouraged to remain members of the St. Jude E-Council to actively support other St. Jude families.
