Get outdoors with a fitness fundraiser
Enjoy the warmer weather this spring, and use your favorite sports and fitness activities to help St. Jude kids. St. Jude hosts multiple charity fitness events that give supporters the chance to stay active while helping kids with cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
You can sign up to run a race as a St. Jude Hero — with both in-person and virtual options available — start working toward the St. Jude Walk, with events across the country each September, or even host a class or fitness event of your own.
2.
Attend a dinner, gala or charity golf event
From St. Jude gala events and fundraising dinners to charity golf tournaments and concerts, fun events across the country help support our lifesaving mission year-round. Check our list of upcoming events to find something near you.
More interested in a virtual option? Consider bidding on an item in an online charity auction. Offerings are being updated all the time, and include everything from luxury travel packages to signed guitars to meet-and-greets with celebrities and more.

Fundraise at your school
Whether you're a student, a parent or a teacher, you can be part of a fundraiser that benefits St. Jude and imparts valuable lessons along the way. Spring is a perfect time to explore fundraising ideas for students of any age.
We have programs for every age group, from the St. Jude Trike-a-Thon for pre-kindergartners, and math and science fundraisers for elementary- and middle-school-aged kids, to lots of fundraising ideas for high schoolers, and several options for college fundraisers, including ideas for fraternties and sororities. And if you're feeling creative, you can always create an event of your own for your school.
4.
Create your own St. Jude fundraiser
This spring do what you love to support the kids of St. Jude. Whatever your passion, we provide the tools you need to raise funds on your own or with a group. Simply choose the activity you want to fundraise around (check out our list for inspiration), register your event and start fundraising.
When you sign up, you'll get a free fundraising website you can personalize to promote your event, a digital toolkit with social media assets and fundraising tips, and access to our team to answer any questions.
Tips for hosting a successful spring fundraiser
There's nothing like the excitement of spring, with new plants sprouting and the days getting longer and warmer. But spring can also be a tricky time to host an event.
Putting on a fundraiser of your own? Here are some tips to help make it a success:
- Weatherproof your event: If you're hosting an event outdoors, it can be helpful to have rain shelters (like tents) on hand and also have a backup plan to move indoors if the weather doesn't cooperate.
- Promote early: Spring can be a busy time — you won't be the only person hosting an event now that the weather is warmer. Get the word out early, and you may want to consider early-bird registrations to encourage people to put your event in their calendars before their schedules fill up.
- Offer volunteer opportunities: For some events (like walks and runs), being a volunteer is as much fun as being a participant. Consider where volunteers might help make your event a success, and then start recruiting.
- Highlight your cause: The only thing better than having a good time is having a good time while helping a worthy cause. Use your event to show an inspiring connection between the hope of St. Jude and the renewal and growth of spring.
Why fundraise for St. Jude?
Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food — so they can focus on helping their child live.
St. Jude has helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate in the U.S. from 20% in 1962 to more than 80% today. We won’t stop until no child dies from cancer.
Every child deserves a chance to live their best life and celebrate every moment. When you support St. Jude, you can help make cures possible for kids with cancer. Together, we can save more lives.
