About Huntsville Hospital
Huntsville Hospital provides healthcare to the people in north Alabama and southern Tennessee. The hospital is one of the largest locally owned not-for-profit hospitals in the nation with 881 licensed acute care beds and a medical staff of nearly 630 highly trained physicians who are supported by 5,600 hospital employees, including nearly 2,000 nurses. The Huntsville campus facilities include Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children, an outpatient Medical Mall, Madison Medical Park and a 70-bed rehabilitation hospital.
Huntsville Hospital is a teaching facility for the University of Alabama-Birmingham’s School of Medicine and Family Practice Residency Program. In addition, the hospital serves as a primary site for more than 50 national drug research projects.
The hospital does not belong to a larger health system; it belongs to the community and is governed by the Health Care Authority of the City of Huntsville, a nine member volunteer board.

About the Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children
St. Jude partners with the Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children. The Children’s Center has 40 pediatric bed with thirty-five private inpatient rooms and five rooms that are able to be converted into private rooms. There are also ten Pediatric Intensive Care beds; the average daily census is approximately 25 patients. The Children’s Hospital offers the following subspecialties: Neonatology – Level III NICU, Pediatric Intensive Care – 11 bed PICU Newly Renovated (only PICU between Birmingham & Nashville), Pediatric ENT, Pediatric ED – 18 bed dedicated peds ED (up to 18 yrs old), Pediatric General Surgery, Pediatric Radiology, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Pediatric GI, Pediatric Urology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Pulmonology Orthopedics, Pediatric Anesthesia, Pediatric Sedation, Pediatric Dental Services, Pediatric Allergy/Immunology, Pediatric Therapy Services and Child Life Specialists.
