Audiology

If your child has a hearing problem, an audiologist can do tests to learn more about it, find the cause and suggest treatment. Treatment might include hearing aids or other devices that help your child hear better. An audiologist will also help you decide which device is best for your child and make sure it fits correctly.

Evaluation and Diagnosis

The first step in treating patients is to provide an accurate evaluation and diagnosis. A multidisciplinary team develops a unique treatment plan for each child. Impairments addressed may be developmental, physical or cognitive.

Play is most often used to assess and treat children, because it is a highly motivating and natural activity. Education and family involvement are also critical to success.
