Halloween fun abounds at St. Jude

Photography by Biomedical Communications, October 31, 2014

Patients and siblings disguised as ninjas, superheroes, cartoon favorites and a variety of costumed characters walked the hallways of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital during the hospital’s annual Halloween festivities.

The children, clad in a variety of recognizable and original costumes, visited 56 trick-or-treat stops where their bags were piled with tasty goodies. St. Jude faculty and staff disguised themselves as familiar animated characters, superheroes and memorable movie personalities.

The event is organized by the St. Jude Child Life Program to provide patients a chance to take part in festivities they might otherwise miss while undergoing treatment. Employees from physicians and nurses to bench scientists to office personnel take part in selecting themes and decorating the booths for the annual Halloween celebration.
